De divisie Klöckner Pentaplast Food & Consumer Products (Kp FCP) stevent af op 100.000 ton rPET. De verpakkingsfabrikant kocht in de 12 maanden tot juni 2017 meer dan 98.000 ton gerecycled PET (rPET) voor gebruik in zijn verpakkingsoplossingen.
De groeistrategie van de divisie zorgt voor een uitbreiding van de capaciteiten en een groter geografisch bereik, waardoor de grens van 100.000 ton in 2018 kan worden overschreden. kp FCP gebruikt naar eigen zeggen snippers van PCR-flesjes (post-consumer recyclate) bij de productie van de verpakkingen voor levensmiddelen met een binnen de industrie toonaangevend gehalte aan gerecycled materiaal en recyclet alle materialen waar mogelijk intern.
The Klöckner Pentaplast Food & Consumer Products (Kp FCP) division is heading for 100,000 tons of rPET. The packaging manufacturer bought more than 98,000 tons of recycled PET (rPET) for use in its packaging solutions in the 12 months to June 2017.
The growth strategy of the division provides an extension of the capabilities and a wider geographical reach, allowing to cross the line of 100,000 tons in 2018. According to Kp FCP, they use the shreds of PCR (postconsumer recyclate) bottles in the production of food packaging with a within the industry leading content of recycled material and recycles all materials internally where possible.
